Stunning and very spacious Italian leather lounge set from the 1970s, consisting of an imposing four-seater sofa and two matching armchairs.
A fantastic, distinctive design featuring everything that makes Italian design from this period so appealing: low, voluminous forms, extremely thick, inwardly curved armrests, tufted cushions, and beautifully supple leather.
The warm ochre/cognac color is particularly beautiful, and the leather has developed a lovely natural patina over the years. The folds, color nuances, and light signs of wear give the set a great deal of character.
The distinctive leather loops in the tufted back cushions are particularly beautiful. The thick armrests curve around the seat at the front, reinforcing the almost sculptural character of the design. Small silver-colored metal casters are located under the furniture, which disappear almost completely from view.
Due to its heavy, organic, and sculptural design, this set pairs beautifully with a Brutalist interior. The warm, weathered leather forms a strong contrast with materials such as concrete, travertine, natural stone, steel, and dark wood. It is also a fantastic statement set within a 70s, modernist, or eclectic interior.
The enormous four-seater sofa is a real eye-catcher. Together with the two identical armchairs, it forms a particularly complete ensemble.
