Like a small piece of Finnish winter landscape: This heavy glass bowl from the „Seita“ series was designed in 1976 by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala. The irregular, ice-like surface is reminiscent of both frozen water and rough tree bark. The solid clear glass catches the light and gives the compact form surprising depth. The bowl itself acts like a small glass sculpture and can also be used as a decorative bowl, for a tealight, or as a special collector's item. Good vintage condition with slight age-related signs of wear. The lively contour and the relief-like surface are part of the original design. A matching larger Seita version is also available separately.
