This Kuala table lamp, designed by Franco Bresciani in 1976 and produced by iGuzzini in Italy, is a unique and collectible example of Italian mid-century lighting design.
The design is characterized by a balanced combination of chrome-plated metal and curved acrylic, resulting in a clear and understated silhouette with a subtle futuristic character. The acrylic shade provides an even and warm light distribution, while the chrome base visually anchors the design.
The lamp is fitted with a single E27 socket in its original configuration. The original iGuzzini sticker is included, confirming the object's authenticity. The lamp also features the original on/off switch.
As part of the Kuala series, which also included a smaller table lamp and a ceiling fixture, this large model stands out for its distinct scale and sculptural presence within the interior. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, with only minor, light signs of wear consistent with its age:
A few superficial, barely visible scratches on the chrome base. These minimal signs do not affect the functionality or visual quality of the object.
A carefully preserved design object from a renowned Italian manufacturer, suitable for collectors and enthusiasts of mid-century modern design.
