For sale is an original Horst Brüning coffee / side table in mint condition. Object: Round pedestal table, designed 1966 Description: Aluminum base, highly polished, with central column; Tabletop with a very resistant Resopal surface, floor protectors made of acrylic glass Manufacturer: COR / Lübke (Interlübke) Wiedenbrück, Germany Info... The Lübke company (today Interlübke) was founded in 1937 by Hans and Leo Lübke in Wiedenbrück as a “special factory for polished bedrooms”. Cupboards, chests of drawers and room dividers are now sold under the well-known premium brand Interlübke. In 1955, Leo Lübke founded the company "COR Helmut Lübke & Co. Polsterfabrikl" together with Adolf Fürst zu Bentheim-Tecklenburg for the upholstered furniture market segment - under the name of his son Helmut - so that today all upholstered furniture comes under the high-end brand COR are distributed. The name COR, (Latin heart) has its origin in the three hearts of the princely coat of arms of the co-founder. Designers: Horst Bruening, *1934 in Hamburg Info... Horst Brüning studied architecture and interior design at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg until 1956. After staying in Copenhagen and Stockholm, where he studied industrial design, the man from Hamburg opened a design and architecture office in Stuttgart from 1963. Brüning has designed important table, armchair and chair programs for well-known manufacturers such as KILL International or COR, which are used in both living and office areas. His style is characterized by the demand for minimalism, clarity, uniqueness and durability with the appropriate seating quality. Working for Kill also brought him into contact with the two Danish architects Jørgen Kastholm and Preben Fabricius, who also received international recognition. Dimensions: diameter 70cm; H: 54cm Condition: The table is technically and optically in perfect and new condition. It is very well maintained and has only very, very minor signs of wear. The base, the column and the table top are in phenomenal condition, like new! note! A general indication (for this very rare condition) are also any signs of wear and tear on the floor protectors. Absolute exception here, hardly any signs of wear! The new owner can look forward to more timeless decades of use!
