Authentic barracks table from Horgen Glarus with a solid beechwood top and original cast iron base. The clearly defined tabletop rests on two striking, turned columns supported by heavy cast iron legs. The characteristic cast iron components, embossed with the inscription "AG Möbelfabrik Horgen-Glarus," lend the design its distinctive industrial character and document its origin from one of Switzerland's most important furniture manufacturers.
Originally made for barracks, canteens, or public buildings, the table impresses with its exceptional stability, robust construction, and timeless functionality. The combination of warm beechwood and dark-patinated cast iron creates a captivating contrast between traditional craftsmanship and industrial production. Condition:
Very good condition. The tabletop was professionally sanded and then refinished with high-quality resin oil.
