Original from the 1970s.

Rio Pallisander rosewood wood veneer. No longer in production for more than 25 years since the felling and import of Riopalissander was banned in the early 1990s (cites list), Vitra and Herman Miller switched to colored Santos Palisander.
However, the true enthusiast and investor always looks for the most beautiful Riopalisander version. These have a higher market value on the vintage market.
The veneer is generally in very good condition, not broken, completely original and untouched...this chair has been around for more than 45 years! Overall very nice.
Original black leather in overall very good condition. cushion footstool has some crazing and signs of wear typical of this chair but can last a long time, very sturdy leather.
Chair is very comfortable, the cushions are originally filled with down and foam. fantastic seating comfort!
In short, a chair with character and a beautiful vintage patina.

Overall nice patina. some spin on the turning mechanism but very acceptable considering the age of +40 years... Beautiful chair ready for years of use. Rubber shock mounts under armrest are original and in good condition, but no guarantee on this.
