Product description
Limoges white porcelain doesn't need color to make an impression. Its material alone suffices, and Haviland knew this better than anyone. This immaculate white porcelain creamer boasts a silhouette that is both understated and intricately detailed. Its body is fluted with vertical ribs that extend down to a wave-scalloped base. The rim echoes this same undulating movement, while the pouring spout rises naturally and the handle, slender and well-proportioned, elegantly completes the piece. Underneath the base, the green "Haviland France" mark attests to its Limoges origin. Haviland, founded in Limoges in 1842 by David Haviland, is one of the most renowned porcelain manufacturers in the world. Its undecorated white pieces are among the most sought after by collectors of French porcelain. Height approximately 12 cm. Late 19th, early 20th century. On a set table, whether among other white pieces or mixed with floral dinnerware, this creamer brings that touch of discreet refinement that only quality porcelain can impart.
