Product description
Large covered potiche of Moroccan tradition, combining polychrome enameled ceramic with a rich openwork white metal mounting.
Its baluster shape is entirely punctuated by compartments bordered with twisted wires and looped metal bands. Rosettes, arabesques, stylized flowers, and geometric motifs compose a dense decoration in shades of turquoise, cobalt blue, cream, ocher, red, and brown. The domed lid is topped with an openwork knob that extends the work of the mounting.
This piece belongs to Moroccan decorative craftsmanship from the second half of the 20th century. However, in the absence of a signature or mark under the base, it cannot be definitively attributed to a workshop in Fès or Safi.

Satisfactory vintage condition. Slight paint or decor losses in places, enamel crazing, wear around the base, and tarnishing of the metal. Part of the metal mounting is locally detached, as visible in the photographs.
Due to its dimensions and the richness of its decor, this potiche will form a colorful accent piece on a console, a sideboard, or in an eclectic interior.
