Product description
Large decorative enameled ceramic vase, remarkable for its urn silhouette and powerful color contrast.
The rounded, fluted body rests on a circular pedestal. Two openwork handles, molded with volutes, frame a high, widely flared neck. The deep, glossy mahogany brown enamel is enlivened on the neck by a thick textured covering blending turquoise, verdigris, gray, and brown. The irregular drips of this glaze create a particularly lively decoration.
The classically inspired form associated with this textured enamel evokes the modernist decorative ceramics of the 1960s-1970s.
The underside bears the marking "ADP 46.C.13 26", a production of the factory taken over in 1960 by Antoine Del Prete in Varages. The ADP brand corresponds to "Art Décoratif Provençal" and also uses the initials of Antoine Del Prete.

Satisfactory vintage condition. A small chip and nicks are present on the rim. Some light traces of use and glaze irregularities complete the piece.
