Large rectangular tray 40 by 56 cm from Asia in traditional late 19th century black lacquered wood. The upper decoration displays remarkable execution finesse and is distinguished by remarkable relief carving work. The genre birds and flowers stand out clearly to the touch. The details of the foliage and plumage are precisely engraved with gold powder. The inner borders are adorned with delicate brocade patterns of moniji maple leaves. The underside of the solid wood structure is raised by 4 original domed brass studs to protect the lacquer. Very good general condition for an object over 100 years old. The top, no lack of shine, see photo. The bottom base has wear, see photo, which does not affect the quality of the work. To be used as a tray or a painting. Collector's item. 1kg500.
