Product description
Large circular decorative plate in ocher yellow enameled ceramic, enriched with an imposing worked metal border. The basin features a luminous and nuanced glaze, whose irregularities and fine crazing animate the surface. Its perimeter is adorned with several concentric friezes in repoussé metal, alternating golden and silver tones with small red and blue highlights. The reverse, enameled in a terracotta shade, rests on an annular foot equipped with a suspension wire. By its shape, palette, and metallic decor, this piece is part of the tradition of Moroccan decorative arts. It could date from the second half of the 20th century. In the absence of a mark or signature, no specific workshop can be identified. Height: 41 cm. Width: 41 cm. Depth: 9 cm. Weight: 3.1 kg. Good general vintage condition. Visible crazing of the yellow enamel, small superficial spots and marks in the basin, as well as a patina and punctual oxidation of the metal mounting. The reverse shows some traces of use and irregularities. A piece with a beautiful presence, to be displayed on a wall or on a stand in a Mediterranean or eclectic interior.
