A delicate and pleasing gouache based on an original work by Paul Cézanne, “The Bay of Marseille, Seen from L’Estaque”, 1885 (The Bay of Marseille, Seen from L’Estaque). Paul Cézanne is considered one of the fathers of modern painting, a bridge between the 19th century and the new proposals of the 20th, as well as a major precursor of Cubism. He sought to achieve a harmonious communion between naturalism, personal expression, and pictorial order. He represented the world with the utmost pictorial precision, structurally ordering everything into simple forms and planes of color. Everything was geometry.
