A refined dining set by the Italian manufacturer Giorgetti, consisting of a dining table (not by Giorgetti but custom-made at the time) and six matching chairs. This ensemble is a prime example of postmodern Italian design. The table has a substantial base made of dark granite, forming a solid and architectural foundation for the rectangular glass tabletop. The six dining chairs feature a strikingly high, openwork frame with a dark finish. The seats are upholstered in a deep blue, velour-like fabric that offers a rich textural contrast to the hard materials of the set. The set is in used condition and has the character befitting a vintage design piece. The construction is solid, and the materials have retained an authentic appearance over the years.
