Product description
This German Space Age pendant lamp from the period 1972–1976 is a striking example of lighting design from that era. The design is characterized by a wavy four-lobed shape, giving the lamp a distinct and recognizable silhouette strongly reminiscent of the well-known Cosack 'Tulip/Clover' models. The lamp is crafted from clear vacuum-formed acrylic and features an integrated vertical rib structure. This technique is typical of high-quality acrylic production from the German Sauerland in the 1970s. The transparent version with ribs differs from the more common variants, making this piece attributable to Cosack Leuchten or Edel-Acryl. The fixture is in condition commensurate with its age and use, while retaining its original character well. The construction is fully functional and the original finish is intact. This pendant lamp comes into its own perfectly in an interior with Space Age or vintage influences. The transparent material and striking design make it a subtle yet striking element above a dining table or in a seating area.
