Product description
What you see here is a small porcelain jar with lid (approx. 15 cm high), barrel-/oval-shaped, with a turquoise/teal background full of hand-applied scroll motifs. All around are decorative bands in yellow and magenta with dots and floral motifs. On the front, a cartouche with a scene of a child in a blue jacket and yellow trousers, in a landscape with fencing. The bottom has a red, round stamp/mark in Chinese characters. The lid has openwork cutouts (a kind of “pierced”/openwork) and shows some edge wear. Signs and texts on the bottom indicate that this is a product from a workshop in Jingdezhen, around the 1970s-1980s.
