FIAM Shell Coffee Table — Danny Lane
An exceptional glass coffee table that stands at the intersection of art, architecture, and Italian design. The Shell was designed by Danny Lane for FIAM Italia and has a distinct sculptural presence that comes into its own particularly well in a refined, contemporary interior.
The design consists entirely of glass. The organically shaped edges and the layered, curved glass elements of the base give the table a different character from every viewing angle. The table is in very good vintage condition, with signs of use consistent with age and use. In the middle of the top, there is a small dull spot, and there is a very small defect of approximately 0.01 cm, indicated by a red circle in the detail photo. Furthermore, there are minimal to virtually no light scratches present.
