False Tulip
Unique, one-of-a-kind object
1 object from a set of 5 curved chests of drawers inspired by a vase filled with tulips. Each cabinet has its own curvature, shape, and height, and a different number of drawers.
All cabinets are constructed from leftover and recycled materials. They are then finished with new bamboo veneer remnants. The drawers are made of aluminum and were used in the airline catering industry.
The techniques used are of furniture maker quality. Glued domino joints (flat dowels) for a strong and durable object. Detailing in the veneer finish, such as mitre joints, ensures a sleek, seamless finish. Produced sustainably and made to last indefinitely.
