The Executive Chair is an absolute classic of Mid - Century Modern design and was designed in 1946 by the Finnish-American architect and designer Eero Saarinen. These chairs were manufactured by Knoll, European production. Saarinen's organic design language and his demand for comfort and functionality make this model one of the most important designs of the 20th century.
This set of 6 comes from an early production series. Two of the chairs are designed in a slightly more compact version - a difference that is hardly noticeable visually, but makes the set all the more versatile.
The ergonomically shaped seat shells are made of robust plastic and are padded with new foam. The high-quality covers come from the Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat / Sahco and lend the ensemble an elegant, modern touch with their contemporary bouclé fabric.
The chairs stand on sturdy frames made of chrome-plated tubular steel, which are in beautiful, age-appropriate condition. Some light rust is visible in places. Two of the chairs still bear the original Knoll sticker - a rare detail that underlines their authenticity.
