Designer Erik Wørts designed this high-quality sofa for Ikea as early as the late 1960s. Its frame, completely made of solid wood, is beautifully heavy and has a beautiful finish and model. The transitions from horizontal to vertical parts are very refined, for example, take a look to the shape of the armrests, you don't see them so stylish and with a sense of detail every day. Even the back has been designed with a great sense of detail and equipped with fun design elements such as a thickened edge. Although we now know Ikea as a home discounter, it was certainly already a trendsetting company in the late 1960s, which produced first-class modern furniture in its range, introduced design to the masses. This sofa is a good example of this. The quality is very high, the finish very nice, the completely original upholstery, in neutral but also very attractive dark green, is a feast for the eyes and is still in very good condition. The sofa offers ample space for 3 people and has a relaxed seat, matching furniture from the 1960s and 1970s. This sofa was cherished until last winter by the first owners, who lived in Sweden.
