Antique Engraving, Drawing, Sketch Depicting a Pair of Chinese Golden Pheasants, Circa 1770 On Fine Laid Paper with Watermark By the Renowned 18th-Century French Ornithologist François-Nicolas Martinet Published in Paris by the Royal Printing Office Plate Numbered 217 He collaborated closely with Count Georges-Louis Leclerc du Buffon on the Natural History of Birds. Martinet also worked for Marmontel, Voltaire, and Philidor. The work is presented in a beautiful molded and patinated wooden frame. It is in very good, even excellent, condition.
