Ad Kuijper, Hilversum, November 6, 1956
Archaic forms, antiquity and Greek mythology are bottomless sources from which Ad Kuijper can shape and mirror his own reality.
From the archetype, on the one hand, the woman is seen as a symbol for the (primeval) mother; the symbol of origin and motherhood; passing on life. On the other hand, the woman is seen as a symbol of goddess in which the mystical, the strength, wisdom and knowledge are personified.
