"Eco" dinner service for six, designed by Giovanni Gariboldi for Richard Ginori in the 1970s, is a refined expression of the designer's modern approach to tableware. Clean lines, balanced proportions and a sophisticated palette of blue, grey and ivory create a timeless service that combines functionality with understated elegance. The decoration is defined by subtle concentric bands following the contours of each piece, enhancing their geometry without relying on elaborate ornamentation. The contrast between the warm ivory interior and the deep blue glazed exterior, softened by a pale grey-blue border, gives the service remarkable visual depth while maintaining a restrained aesthetic. The cylindrical biscuit jar with its domed lid and distinctive twin circular finger grips completes the ensemble, becoming one of its most recognizable features.
