This exclusive table clock, also known as a bracket clock, was manufactured by the renowned Dutch brand Christiaan Huygens. It is model 1403 from a limited series, with the unique production number 176, making this piece a special collector's item.
The clock features a warm walnut and mahogany case, creating a classic and elegant appearance. The high-quality German movement by Franz Hermle & Söhne is equipped with a floating balance, meaning the clock does not need to be level to function accurately. The dial is richly decorated with a moon phase indicator and a mechanism featuring moving historical sailing ships. Furthermore, the clock offers three classic melodies (Westminster, Whittington, and Winchester) and a silent mode. The original purchase receipt from 2000, the certificate, the winding key, and a matching wall console are included.
The movement is in excellent, working condition, and the wooden case has retained its original luster and character. The presence of complete documentation and accessories underscores the care with which this piece has been preserved.
Collection & Delivery: Due to the high fragility of the mechanical Hermle movement and the moving ships, shipping is not preferred. The clock can be collected in Alkmaar.
