Product description
Large Chinese enameled porcelain vase, animated with an elegant decoration of birds, flowers, and insects on a white background.
Its ovoid body extends into a long flared neck with a wide opening. The polychrome decoration combines flowering branches, finely drawn green foliage, several birds, and small butterflies. Two red zoomorphic mascarons, fitted with embossed rings, punctuate the shoulders. A gilded line, now partially faded, highlights the upper edge.
The palette and ornamental treatment are characteristic of Chinese porcelains decorated with Famille Rose enamels. No mark under the base. Republic Period / Early 20th Century (C. 1912–1949).

Good general condition considering the presumed age. Wear to the gilding on the neck, occasional marks and irregularities in the glaze, as well as dirt, abrasions, and small losses of glaze around the heel. No structural damage.
With its generous size and naturalistic decoration, this vase will easily find its place on a console, a sideboard, or in an eclectic interior.
