Charles Catteau – Boch Frères Keramis – Art Deco Vase – Model 975, Decor D.2762 Exceptional polychrome Art Deco vase, designed by Charles Catteau (1880–1966) for Boch Frères Keramis in La Louvière, Belgium. A characteristic example of Belgian ceramic art from the late 1920s and 1930s. The vase has an elegant, egg-shaped body with a flared cobalt blue neck. The vibrant floral decor D.2762 combines warm yellow and orange-red hues with petrol blue, turquoise, cobalt blue, and green accents on an ivory-colored background. The geometrically stylized flowers and leaves, the contrasting use of color, and the refined craquelure glaze give this vase its distinct Art Deco character. The underside bears the Keramis – Made in Belgium marking, the decor number D.2762, and the model number 975.
