Product description
This ceramic table lamp by Hustadt-Leuchten captures the essence of 1970s design with its striking silhouette and vibrant colour palette. The piece exemplifies the era's bold approach to domestic lighting, combining a substantial ceramic base with a highly graphic textile shade.
The lamp features a glazed ceramic base in rich brown tones, accented with a textured, speckled band that adds tactile interest. It is topped with a cylindrical fabric shade displaying a dynamic geometric pattern in shades of green, blue, and brown against a white background. The original manufacturer's label is present on the wooden fixture support, confirming its provenance from Hustadt-Leuchten in Neheim-Hüsten, Germany. The lamp is designed for a maximum 100W bulb and retains its original wiring with an inline switch.
The piece is in great condition, showing minimal signs of careful use. The ceramic base is structurally and aesthetically intact, preserving its original glaze and texture. The fabric shade remains vibrant and well-maintained.
This lamp serves as a compelling focal point in a mid-century modern or eclectic interior. Its earthy base and vivid shade pair exceptionally well with teak or walnut furniture, adding a layer of authentic 1970s character to a living room or study.
