Product description
Rare No. 1 floor light from the 1960s, attributed to Cedric Hartman for Jack Lenor Larsen.
A particularly elegant modernist design, executed in brass and chrome-plated metal. The lamp has a heavy rectangular brass base, a slender curved chrome arm, and the characteristic geometric brass shade.
Due to its minimalist construction and combination of brass and chrome, the lamp has a very luxurious yet understated appearance. A beautiful example of American/European modernism from the 1960s.
This piece is unmarked, but its design, construction, and detailing match documented examples of the No. 1 model.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition. The brass and chrome are well preserved, with only minor signs of wear consistent with age. The lamp is fully functional.
