CASSINA . FINNISH armchair model (1106/1 ) designed by Finnish architect and industrial designer Olli Mannermaa ( 1921 - 1998 ) in 1959. Armchair dating from a 1960 production batch, made by the firm Figli di A. Cassina Meda Milan. High quality, handcrafted. Vertical aluminium frame. 4 hinged legs and protective feet. Multi-layered wooden shell, padded and upholstered in black Skai leather, with visible stitching. 65 years old and in excellent condition. Shell, frame and leather in excellent condition. No holes, tears or missing parts. Some discolouration only on the black paintwork part of the leg frame. It has the black plastic height adjustment butterfly, which is missing one part. Slight period patina on the metal part, some discolouration on the black paint part of the 4 legs. And on the base part under the seat rust spots due to age. Black rubber tips, undamaged, strong and durable. Otherwise OK. Very nice. For connoisseurs and collectors.Some discolouration only on the black paint part of the leg structure.
