Product description
The Cassina Torso armchair, designed by Paolo Deganello in 1982, is a striking asymmetrical design that challenges the conventions of traditional seating. This specific example combines a sculptural form with a bold color scheme, making it a characteristic piece of the postmodern design period. The armchair is crafted with a steel frame and upholstered in a combination of orange and grey fabric, complemented by a black leather detail on the extended seat. The design features an integrated black wooden side table, which enhances the functionality of the piece. The asymmetrical backrest and contrasting materials emphasize Deganello's innovative approach. The furniture is in good condition, except for a stain on the back panel. Other parts are consistent with age and use. The original upholstery and finishes have been preserved, contributing to the authentic character of this design classic. This armchair serves as a distinct statement in a modern or eclectic interior. The design lends itself perfectly as a freestanding object in a spacious living room or as a functional work of art in a study.
