Sculptural vintage wooden candle holder, which strongly corresponds in form, construction, and dimensions to the documented Model 4661 by Werkstätte Carl Auböck. The spherical body rests on three slender, splayed legs and has 7 openings for narrow candles. The reduced, organic form is characteristic of Austrian Mid-Century design of the 1950s. The piece is not signed or marked. Due to the clear correspondence with documented comparable examples, the attribution to Carl Auböck, Model 4661, is made expressly without guarantee. • Dimensions: Height approx. 10.5 cm Sphere diameter approx. 7 cm Base width approx. 7.2 cm Candle openings approx. Ø 1.2–1.3 cm • Material: Wood • Condition: Authentic vintage condition with traces of age and use. There are wax residues, minor bumps, stains, and some shiny areas, presumably from wax or candle residues. There is also a small scribble or handwritten mark on the underside.
