The C317 armchair was designed by the Japanese designer Yuzuru Yamakawa in 1965. The design was re-released with a powder-coated white metal frame and a hand-woven rattan shell in natural.
What is special about the design:
Very recognizable: The base is quite sleek and geometric, while the shape has a soft, almost cocoon-like form.
Comfort is an important part of the design. The wide, conical shell provides considerable support. SCP describes the combination of the generous shell and the rattan as both elegant and ergonomic.
