Harlequin Monolith Cinnabar Amber stacks colour blocks like a hiker balances stones on a beach. Burnt orange, wine red and dusty mauve meet cream and denim blue in an irregular diamond pattern, with each block intersected by a wide bar with hanging stripes.
It is a cheerful, confident rug that fits perfectly in a room with character: brick walls, wooden paneling, a chrome arc lamp. Keep the sofa light in colour and let the cushions pick up one of the colours.
Monolith is a hand-tufted rug from India, made from 100% pure new wool, with a generous pile height of 17 mm on a cotton and latex backing. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Handmade means there may be small differences in size and colour between different rugs.
