Product description
Italian table lamp from the 1960s. The lamp base is made of deep green blown glass with a molded, frosted glass globe shade. The lamp is in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips. Measurements: 16 cm wide and 38 cm high. It is known as a wine bottle lamp because it is often made from an antique Chianti wine bottle. Chianti bottles are not just mere wine containers; they are designed to serve and display wine, and due to their beauty, they are recycled and integrated as part of the decorative structure of the lamp. This particular lamp was made from a bottle from Vetreria Etrusca. It can be identified by the "VE" mark engraved on the base along with the words "MADE IN ITALY." Vetreria Etrusca is a well-known glassworks from the Empoli region of Italy that is very popular among collectors. The "A" you see on the base could be part of a mold number or production code, as these markings often included letters and numbers alongside the company acronym.
