This is a set of three ceramic soup bowls, manufactured by the Belgian company Boch Frères La Louvière. The bowls are part of the 'Baltic' series, a distinctive and beloved Crockery design from the mid-twentieth century. Each piece is made of ceramic and, as indicated by the bottom stamp, is hand-painted. The decor consists of a stylized floral pattern in dark blue on a grey-white, speckled background. The inside is finished with a glossy, plain dark blue glaze that forms a beautiful contrast with the outside. The bowls are equipped with two small, integrated handles. The overall condition of the set is good and consistent with the age of the objects. The glaze has retained its shine and the hand-painted decorations are clear and distinct. The stamp on the bottom confirms the authenticity and origin from Belgium. These versatile bowls are not only functional for serving soup but also very decorative. They fit perfectly in an open Crockery cabinet or on a sideboard within a retro, vintage, or classic interior.
