Product description
Børge Mogensen was a key figure in Danish Modernism. A student of Kaare Klint, he is responsible for some of the most significant designs in Scandinavian design history, such as the "Spanish Chair" (1958), the "People's Chair" (1947), and the "BM1 Chair" (1958) offered here. Mogensen’s work is characterized by functionality, minimalism, and comfort. A consistent principle of his work is the expression of an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship through the use of high-quality, natural materials. The four chairs offered here are crafted from solid oak and feature paper cord seats. The frames are in good condition. The woven seating is free of damage but shows visible signs of use. All four chairs bear the original manufacturer's stamp on the underside.
