This is an authentic valet de chambre, or dressboy, from the Italian manufacturer Fratelli Reguitti. The piece is a classic example of Italian design from the mid-20th century, designed to store clothes in an orderly and stylish manner. The combination of functionality and elegant design makes it a timeless object. The construction is made of dark lacquered wood, combined with brass-colored metal parts. The dressboy is equipped with a shaped hanger for a jacket or shirt, a bar for trousers, and a convenient storage compartment. This compartment contains two pull-out sections lined with green felt, ideal for storing cufflinks, a watch, or other small accessories. At the bottom there is a fabric holder made of yellow velour. The whole stands on wheels, making the piece of furniture easily movable. The overall condition of this item is good and it bears a clear vintage character that testifies to its age and history. The original lacquer layer shows a craquelure pattern, which contributes to the authentic patina of the piece. The structure is solid and all functional parts are present and working.
