An iconic set of 4 Mid-Century Modern "Wire" chairs designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll. Constructed from steel wire and assembled using traditional brass brazing techniques. Please note: The steel frames themselves are not stamped. The set includes 2 original seat pads (one red, one blue). The unquestionable proof of authenticity lies in these cushions, which are signed "Knoll" underneath.
■ CONDITION & DETAILS
Condition: Authentic heavy vintage wear.
Patina: The original black paint has faded on friction areas. This reveals the highly attractive golden brass brazing at the joints, as well as natural surface rust/oxidation on the exposed steel. The chairs are structurally sound and perfect for those who love honest, untouched vintage metallurgy.
