Exceptional extendable Dining table in postmodern design from the 1980s. The combination of warm wood tone, shiny chrome, and the asymmetrically constructed pillar base gives the table a distinctive, architectural character. When closed, the table has a compact round shape. Thanks to the integrated extension system, it can be expanded into a generous oval table with just a few simple steps. The additional tabletop is stored space-savingly inside and folds out when opened – a practical solution as no separate insert plate needs to be stored. The base is particularly striking: a wide, semicircular wooden column is combined with several chrome-plated round tubes and curved cross struts. Together with the round base plate, this creates an exciting mix of geometric shapes and materials, which is very typical for postmodern furniture design of this period. Condition: The tabletop has a warm, honey-colored wood surface with a softly rounded edge. The table is in good used vintage condition. Age- and use-related scratches, fine abrasions, and minor signs of wear in the lacquer are visible on the tabletop; these are particularly noticeable against the light.
