Early vintage edition Artemide Nesso desk lamp. Designer Giancarlo Mattioli, Italy 1960s/70s. Not a bright white new reissue, but a beautiful soft cream-colored original vintage edition. This Nesso lamp, with its distinctive mushroom shape, can be seen in the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), among other places, and also won first prize at the Studio Artemide Domus Competition in Milan in 1965. A timeless Italian design classic. Dimensions: height: 34cm, shade diameter: 54cm, base diameter: 21cm. 4x E14 sockets. Small hairline crack at the base near the cord entry (known weak spot, see fig. 10). Otherwise in very good condition. Perfect for both home and office environments, this lamp is a statement piece that offers both style and lighting.
