Beautiful chrome Eclisse table lamp from the Artemide brand, designed by Vico Magistretti. This lamp is a modern re-edition of the design classic from 1965, which was awarded the Compasso d'Oro two years later and is part of the permanent exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Eclisse is a foreground balance of form and function, design and usability. The basis of the concept lies in the light intensity control functionality through its internal rotating lampshade that “darkens” the light source. Indeed, with a fixed outer sheath and a movable inner sheath, the lamp can provide direct or diffuse light. The lamp looks beautiful on the table, but can also be mounted on the wall. It contains a metal housing painted in shiny chrome with on/off button. The Eclisse is part of the permanent exhibition collection of the most important design museums, including the MoMA in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
This lamp is in almost new condition (never used) and is in the original packaging (see photos).
