The lamp incorporates several hallmark Art Nouveau characteristics:
Whiplash curve – The flowing, asymmetrical brass stem is one of the defining features of Art Nouveau.
Nature-inspired design – The tulip-shaped glass shade reflects the movement's fascination with flowers and organic forms.
Decorative brass construction – Warm brass was a popular material in both original Art Nouveau and later revival pieces.
Fluid silhouette – The lamp emphasizes graceful curves over straight geometric lines.
Secondary influence: Jugendstil
The cleaner, less ornate execution suggests it also draws inspiration from German and Austrian Jugendstil, which tended to be simpler than French Art Nouveau.
Although inspired by c. 1895–1910 designs, this example is most likely 1950s–1970s European manufactured.
White with green "vaseline" style edges (though not actual uranium glass).
Typical of revival lighting produced in Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, or Belgium.
