Beautiful authentic Danish Art Nouveau art pottery vase by the renowned manufacturer P. Ipsens Enke (Copenhague, Denmark). Model number: 634. Decor title: "Vase with horse and hare" (Vase med hest og hare) Designer: Johannes Resen Steenstrup (1868–1955) Year of design: 1909 Style : Scandinavian Art Nouveau (Skønvirke) Dimensions: Height approx. 18-19 cm DÉCOR & COLORS Stunning hand-crafted raised relief pastoral decor featuring a grazing horse and a hare resting beneath a large tree. The workshop's signature colors feature a beautiful gradient transition from a warm sunset orange to a deep earthy green at the base. The interior is fully finished with a glossy saffron-yellow glaze. The bottom bears the official factory crown stamp (PIE monogram), the model number, and original painter's marks. CONDITION REPORT Very good vintage condition. The glaze colors remain extremely vibrant and bright. PLEASE NOTE: There is a minor, discrete chip (glaze and pottery flake) on the outer lower rim of the base, just underneath the hare (clearly visible in the close-up photos). A tiny surface glaze imperfection / firing flaw from manufacturing is present on the back of the vase, which is typical for handmade pottery from this era. The rest of the body and top rim are immaculate, with no cracks, hairlines, or restorations. SHIPPING. Secure worldwide shipping.
