This is a stately armchair, crafted in a Spanish or South French style from walnut wood and original leather. The piece of furniture is characterized by its robust silhouette and richly worked details, such as the carved ram's heads and the decorated leather, reminiscent of the Renaissance or Baroque period. The frame is made of solid, dark walnut wood and has turned legs connected by an elegantly carved H-shaped stretcher. Both the seat and the high backrest are upholstered with dark brown leather, which is adorned with a detailed relief of floral motifs and figurative scenes. The upholstery is secured with decorative, convex studs along the edges, and the armrests are prominently finished with hand-carved ram's heads.
