This is a charming antique tobacco jar, also known as a dredger, made of turned wood. The piece dates from the period 1780-1850 and has a classic, elegant shape that immediately catches the eye. The rich, dark color of the wood and the visible grain give the object a warm and authentic appearance. The jar consists of two parts: the container itself and a lid with a small knob. An interesting detail is the perforated inside of the lid, which confirms its function as a dredger for, for example, tobacco or powder.
