Old French faience vegetable dish from Saint-Amand, Simone model, bearing the stamp of the Saint-Amand Ceramic Establishments Company and the "Made in France" mark on its base. This beautiful piece of antique tableware features a generous round shape, framed by two geometric handles. An elegant decor of large flowers in burgundy and old rose tones unfolds across the ivory background, accompanied by grey-green foliage and long, slender stems. A fine green line highlights the rim and extends delicately onto the handles. Intended for serving vegetables and side dishes, this vegetable dish is a testament to everyday French tableware, for which manufacturers paid as much attention to the shapes as to the decorations. The Simone model here possesses a lot of charm with its generous floral motif that freely winds around the piece. Presented without its lid, it can today resume its function as a serving dish or become a beautiful display bowl. Good general condition for its age, with a patina and a light crazing of the enamel, characteristic of antique faience. Some discreet signs of age are visible in the photographs.
