19th-century, Victorian-era portable, self-supporting wooden print stand holding a card and partly leather portfolio. These items were designed for holding, displaying, or transporting art prints.
The gilt metal rod structure is attached to the frame and supports the folio when open as shown. Printed mark inside; 'Bunyard's Patent Self-supporting portfolio' as well as impressed to the metal work.
Some of the flaps of the portfolio are missing as well as part of the Portfolio lock. Otherwise general wear and tear. The wooden and metal frame are in good working condition.
