This antique armchair was manufactured by the renowned furniture factory 't Woonhuys in the early 20th century at Prinsengracht 709-713 in Amsterdam. The design is characterized by a classic, low-sitting shape with a striking webbing seat.
The seat height is 32 cm. The total height is 75 cm.
The chair is constructed from a solid wood frame with a warm, dark brown finish. The backrest consists of four elegantly curved horizontal slats, while the armrests flow smoothly into the turned front legs. The seat features traditional woven webbing, creating a light and airy contrast with the robust wood. An original metal 't Woonhuys nameplate on the underside confirms the provenance and authenticity of this piece of furniture.
