Old Longwy earthenware pedestal compote dish, Betty model, made around 1925. This elegant serving piece dates from the manufacturer's Art Deco period. Its earthenware features a delicate powdery pink hue, characteristic of the model, accentuated on the rim by several concentric embossed lines. A fine polychrome frieze composed of small geometric and stylized motifs in reddish-brown, white, and green tones encircles the entire rim. Its low and widely open pedestal form was intended for presenting fruits, desserts, or pastries. It is emblematic of the interwar dinner services where French manufacturers still combined traditional table service forms with the new geometric Art Deco decorations. The piece is marked on the underside of the base: Betty – Longwy – France. It is in good overall condition, with the slight traces of time and use naturally present on a century-old earthenware piece. Diameter approximately 22 cm. Height approximately 7 cm.
