We offer this antique Italian terracotta vessel, dating back to the 19th century—an object with unique historical charm. Vessels of this type were crafted in Italian regions known for olive cultivation, such as Liguria, Tuscany, or Southern Italy. This jar bears three impressed seals, including the *fleur-de-lis* emblem characteristic of the Tuscan region. Historically, these large jars were used for storing and transporting olive oil. The vessel features a classic ovoid shape, swelling at the center and tapering towards both the base and the rim. The upper rim is distinguished by a glossy glazed finish; historically, this glaze served to prevent liquids from seeping through the porous terracotta and to keep insects out.
