Antique Japanese Shogiban chessboard, dating from the early 20th century. This Japanese chessboard, called Shogiban, is made of solid Keyaki wood. Entirely handmade, it shows minor signs of wear due to long use, natural expansion of the wood, and a beautiful patina. The bottom is inscribed with various Japanese inscriptions, but the meaning is unknown. Dimensions: 33 cm long, 27.5 cm wide, and 13 cm high. No. 7548.1
